Dann sind Sie vielleicht unsere neue Finanzberaterin oder unser neuer Finanzberater/Controller im Financial Mechanism Office (FMO), dem internationalen Sekretariat, das die EWR-Finanzmittel hier in Brüssel verwaltet.
In dieser zentralen Position tragen Sie die übergeordnete Verantwortung für die Finanzverwaltung und die finanzielle Kontrolle der Fördermechanismen – von der Programmgestaltung und Vertragsabwicklung über die Berichterstattung und Revision bis hin zum Liquiditätsmanagement in den Empfängerländern. Sie tragen zudem dazu bei, die interne Kontrolle zu stärken und finanziellen Unregelmässigkeiten vorzubeugen, und
arbeiten eng mit Partnern im EWR-Raum zusammen, um solide Finanzsysteme und eine gute Finanzkultur im FMO und darüber hinaus aufzubauen.

Are you a dynamic and highly motivated professional looking to make a positive impact in Europe? Join our team at the Financial Mechanism Office (FMO), the international secretariat managing the EEA and Norway Grants, as a new Finance and Control Officer in Brussels.
About us:
The FMO is affiliated with the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The EEA and Norway Grants are Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway’s contribution to reducing economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area (EEA) and strengthen bilateral relations and partnerships between the Donor States and the 15 Beneficiary States (Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia). The EEA Grants are financed by the 3
donor countries whereas Norway Grants are financed solely by Norway. The current funding period has a total budget of 3.2 billion euros.

Responsibilities and tasks of the Finance and Control Unit:
In this key role, you will oversee the full financial management and control cycle of the Grants and work closely with programme teams and external stakeholders to support successful programme delivery across Beneficiary States. Your responsibilities span the entire programme lifecycle, from programme design and contracting through implementation, monitoring and reporting, to auditing, financial closure and cash management. You will also contribute to the continuous development of financial management, internal control, risk management and anti-fraud frameworks within the FMO and across the Grants.
