We are seeking a dedicated, motivated individual to lead our small team of information developers providing end-user documentation for our devices and related products to medically trained professionals and regulatory bodies around the world.
Working with the cross-functional team, engineering specs and other documentation, clinical input, and the products themselves, we develop and deliver compelling high-quality documentation for our products, on time. Our Technical Writing team is responsible for all aspects of end-user product documentation.
That’s what you bring along:
Candidates must have a full understanding of the end-user documentation development and translation processes, as well as outstanding interpersonal communication and project planning/management skills. Also required are excellent writing and information structuring ability for content development and reviews. It is a responsibility of the Team Lead to ensure high-quality end-user documentation is delivered, as planned.
Desired Qualifiations
Proven experience writing and editing documentation for an end-user audience
Ability to quickly learn and understand complex procedures and concepts
Ability to work with and understand functional engineering specifications for the software features/functions and the user interface
Effective at working closely with members of the cross-functional and writing teams to learn what is needed and help determine how to best present it
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and work attitude; ability to work well with tight schedules and challenging projects
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working with the writing and product teams to manage schedules and deliverables
Excellent time management skills; ability to adjust quickly to changes in product and project plans
Innovative self-starter, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; able to manage project issues directly with cross-functional team members
Strong work ethic, ability to multi-task, solve problems, and accept feedback
Experience with XML content management systems (ST4), FrameMaker, InDesign, Acrobat, and willingness to learn more; adept at learning new tools as needed
Strong computer skills, experience with templates, editing, publishing; ability to integrate with existing work processes and documentation styles/style guide
Able to speak/understand German, or willingness to learn
Native-level English – we write in US English
Nice to have
Background in the sciences and/or high tech preferred
Good graphic or graphic visualization skills helpful (we work closely with a graphic illustrator)
